This privacy policy sets out how International Migration Centre- Karnataka (IMC-K) uses and protects any information that you give when you use this website, including for all guidance, counselling, registration and recruitment purposes.
Collection and use of personal information
IMC-K and its constituent institutions, especially the two State Government-run RAs – KVTSDC & KSUWSSB – collect and make use of your personal information to counsel and guide you on various aspects of international migration and overseas employment, including skill connect and making available to you the services of the migration services providers. The information that you submit will be used by the IMC-K’s MICs, MRCs, MSC and RAs or any government/private agency, for the sole purpose of helping you with building an employment trajectory for you including to answer your queries, guide on skilling avenues, register your profile and perform the recruitment and address grievances submitted or any other services as you may have requested on the Portal or at any of the IMC-K filed Centres – the MICs, the MRCs or the MSC and the RAs.
We may collect the following information:
- Name and Address
- Current job title, salary and past experience
- Demographic information
- Education qualifications, including those related to skill
- Email address, phone numbers
- Copies of ID cards such as Aadhaar and Passport (at the time of registration)
- Any other document that is required for facilitating recruitment and employment if selected by the RA-K
- Your willingness to be upskilled/ desirability in terms of countries of destination
- Any other information related to the entirety of your migration life-cycle and institutions associated
For Foreign Employers
Name and contact information, focal contact persons, details about the business are required. Additional details may be required at the time of signing MoUs with individual employers.
The personal data that the IMC-K Portal and the MIS collect will be processed and varies depending upon whether you are a job seeker, employer or seeking grievance redresssal. IMC-K will make all efforts to keep your information strictly confidential.
IMC-K uses your personal data in a fair and responsible manner and where IMC-K has a lawful reason do to so and when IMC-K provides or facilitates a service.
Use of Personal Data/Information
IMC-K and its constituent agencies, especially the MICs, MRC, MSC and the RAs (KVTSDC & KSUWSSB) may process your personal information/data for the following purposes:
- Administer a service or contact you or when a stakeholder in the migration process/recruitment requires such information to process your case
- Evaluate the data against the vacancies submitted by the foreign employers and determine if the vacancy is suitable for you to be assessed/tested/recruited; to match your relevant skills, qualifications and experience with job vacancies
- Send your information to the foreign employer to put you forward as a candidate or assess your eligibility for a vacancy, and for taking necessary steps if eligible d. Improve the RA-K Portal & the MIS to provide you better services
- Share with you about skilling and overseas employment opportunities, counselling and guidance on international migration and pre-departure orientation
- For research and surveys assessing the impact of our services for further improvement
- For all purposes of identity verification and for performing due diligence as per the requirements of the stakeholders involved in the recruitment.
The information that you have provided may be made available to personnel working at IMC-K and its constituent agencies and the clients (foreign employers, migration services providers and other government/private agencies associated with the recruitment process). The login/registration process to the IMC-K Portal and the MIS requires transmission of personal data. IMC-K team holds the right to verify the information provided by you such as contact number, email address in order to ensure the prudent and secure use of the services it provides.
Kindly note that information submitted either online or at centres (MICs/MRCs) in the districts will be stored in the MIS hosted on Karnataka State Data Centre (SDC) or any server that the Government decides. If you do not agree with your personal information being stored, please do not submit any data to us on the IMC-K or at any of the MICs/MRCs.

However, be informed that no data transmission over internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure. IMC-K Portal and the MIS may have hyperlinks to other websites and IMC-K will not be responsible for the privacy policy and security of such websites.
IMC-K gathers certain information about the user such as IP address, domain name, date and time of visit and it makes no attempt to link these addresses with the identity of the individuals visiting our website, unless an attempt to damage IMC-K has been detected.
