One-time Relief of ₹ 2000 to 11 Categories of Unroganised Workers

The Hon’ble Chief Minister has announced a special package for various categories of workers, due to the lockdown declared by the Government to prevent a second wave of  Covid-19. Which resulted in the loss of their daily earnings. Among them, one-time relief of Rs.2000/- each to 11 categories of unorganized workers engaged in the profession of  Hamalis, Domestic Workers, Rag Pickers, Tailors, Mechanics, Washer men, Barbers, Gold Smiths, Iron Smiths, Potters, and Kiln Workers will be implemented through Karnataka State Unorganised Workers Social Security Board.

  

To get the announced relief, eligible beneficiaries belonging to the above said categories have to apply in the Seva Sindhu portal ( https://sevasindhu.karnataka.gov.in/ ) and after verification, the relief amount of Rs.2000/-each will be directly transferred (DBT) to the Aadhar linked bank account of the respective beneficiaries.

 

As per Government Order, beneficiaries belonging to Washerman and Barbers professions, who have already received announced one-time relief of Rs.5000/- each during the year 2020, need not apply once again and announced relief amount during the current year will be transferred to their respective bank account as done earlier except who have attained the age of 65 years.

 

Further, the announced relief will also be released to the registered eligible beneficiaries under Ambedkar Karmika Sahaya Hastha Scheme.

 

The remaining beneficiaries will have to submit the applications in the Seva Sindhu portal ( https://sevasindhu.karnataka.gov.in/ ). The eligibility criteria’s are as follows:-

 

Eligibility Conditions:

  1. Age: 18 to 65 years.
  2. Only one member of the family is eligible.
  3. BPL cardholders only.
  4. Migrant workers engaged in above-said professions are also eligible, provided holding the BPL card issued by the Government of Karnataka)
  5. Aadhar number linked to bank account is mandatory.
  6. Applicants valid Mobile Number (Optional). 

 Supporting documents:

  1. “Certificate of Employment” issued by the authorities or Employer in the prescribed format. 
  2. BPL Card
  3. Aadhar card
  4. Date of birth proof.
  5. Recent passport size photo.

Method of processing application in Seva-Sindhu portal:-

  1. Applicants should submit their application through Seva-Sindhu Portal along with the above documents.
  2. After submitting the application a  unique identification number will be sent to the applicant’s mobile number.
  3. Registered applicants can verify the status of the application through the unique identification number sent to them.
  4. The submitted applications will be forwarded to the concerned authorities for further action/ verification.
  5. After verification, the relief amount will be transferred through Aadhar based DBT(Direct Benefit Transfer) to the respective bank account of the eligible beneficiaries.
